My Story

Hi! My name is Rana Cho. I am a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) who understands the profound benefits of Pilates. I am comprehensively trained on all versions of Pilates from mat work that requires no equipment to all of the apparatus Joseph Pilates invented. I love instructing privately with clients ensuring the exercises you are doing are prefect for your body. No two bodies are alike and Pilates can be tailored to every bodies specific needs. Anyone can benefit from adding this exercise to their routine!

I discovered Pilates during my own physical therapy following a lumbar fusion in 2017. It changed my rehab so much that I decided to become an instructor. I understand chronic pain, injury, surgery and the saving grace Pilates offers. I know how to help you stay safe, get strong and get back to your best.

I am passionate about impacting peoples physical health through Pilates.

I am currently in a certification program for functional nutrition counseling. This approach looks at the body as a whole to understand how everything interacts together in your body. If you are struggling with making lasting lifestyle changes and discovering root causes for the symptoms you have been impacted by this approach may be the missing link. Again, an area I can personally relate to with a big impact from peri-menopause that resulted in excess weight that was very difficult to shed.

I am also a fully trained Pilates equipment maintenance technician. I service the greater Dallas – Fort Worth (DFW) area. Zoom and FaceTime are also available to help the DIY person. If you have a need for Pilates equipment maintenance, assembly, repair or need to learn about proper care and cleaning I can help!

My Mission & Vision

I offer a turly private setting for your Pilates journey. Pilates is good for every body and it is my goal to provide a personalized experience to as many people as possible at an affordable rate.

With comprehensive training and experience in rehabilitation you can be confident that I can handle any injury, surgery or condition with care, while also challenging you physically. If it doesn’t challenge you it doesn’t change you! Pilates is about giving you the best, most balanced body you can possibly have.

Adding Functional Nutrion Counseling is a result of listening to my clients. I have heard lots of questions and concerns over the years about specific health issues and I feel compelled to help. I am very excited to offer this additonal support in 2024!

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

Comfortable workout clothing you can move freely in. Slightly more form fitting clothing will also help me see how your body moves.

How much does it cost?

I charge $60 for a full hour. Most other studios are 50 minutes long and will cost typically $75-$120.  I also offer reduced rates for more than 1 session per week. Shorter sessions are available for a lower cost.

How long have you been an instructor?

I have been practicing since September 2017 and began my student teaching in December 2017. I officially graduated from my program in June 2018.

I have a recent injury, surgery, condition. Can you work around my doctors restrictions?

Absolutely! The same physical therapy clinic I found Pilates through,  I went on to work full time at for a while after I completed my program. I learned even more about working with limitations and restrictions than my program taught! Whether it is a recent pregnancy or surgery or you happened to sprain your ankle I can modify and work around it so you don’t have to miss your workout.

Is Pilates similar to yoga?

A common misconception actually! I thought the same thing too. Pilates does connect movement with breath but that is where the similarietes end. Pilates centers around your core. Which is everything between the shoulder and knees – surprising I know! At the same time Pilates provides body awareness, education and a full body workout.

Can I bring my child/children with me?

Well behaved children that do not require contant watching and care are welcome! I have 2 friendly dogs that enjoy the company.

Where are you located?

My home is roughly 9 miles north of the courthouse off of Friendship Rd and FM51.

Do you take more than 1 person at a time?

I can accomodate up to 2 people, provided that they are similar fitness levels. If you want to come with a friend or spouse  you are welcome to make that arrangement. I prefer 1 private with each person prior to y’all coming together so I can assess each person seperately. The cost for a duet is $100 per hour.

What is your cancellation policy?

I am very flexible in this regard. More so than any studio. I understand that life happens and emergencies arise at the most inconvenient times. I prefer notice the night before but sometimes day of is the only option. Let me know as soon as possible. Charging for the session is decided on a case by case basis.

What forms of payment to do accept?

I prefer cash, venmo, cashapp or check. All credit cards are accepted through Square pay but there is a processing fee added to the charges. Currenlty it is 3%.

Rana was my Pilates teacher and mentor back when she lived and worked in Las Vegas. not only was she very knowledgeable and an excellent instructor, her passion inspired me to take a Pilates course. She showed me so many things I would've never learned with the curriculum. She truly cares about all of her clients and it shows. I miss our sessions together. I highly recommend Rana.
